Sunny Day

The beach of Sunny Day Resort awarded the “Blue Flag” for 2026

The long beach of Sunny Day Resort, surrounded by a picturesque green park, has once again been awarded the “Blue Flag” certificate for 2026.

Since 1996, the beach has received this prestigious award every year without interruption, establishing it as the only one in the area of Varna with such a long-standing and consistent record.

The “Blue Flag” programme was launched in 1987 by the Foundation for Environmental Education with the support of the European Commission. Our application for the 2026 season was approved at both national level and by the international jury, which met in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The award is granted only to sites that meet strict international criteria, including:

  • excellent water quality and cleanliness
  • effective environmental management
  • high standards of safety and lifeguard services
  • good accessibility and visitor facilities
  • implementation of educational initiatives
  • high level of service

Receiving the “Blue Flag” is the result of long-term efforts and a consistent policy of maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized beach environment. It reflects our commitment at Sunny Day Resort to offering a sustainable tourism product that meets the highest international standards.
